Ingredients:
5-10 Grated corns or 2 cups of thawed frozen corn, that has been coarsley ground in a mixie
Salt as per taste
1/4 tsp Red chilli powder
3-4 chopped green chillies
1 tsp Mustard seeds
1/2 tsp Asafoetida ( can be used a bit more as it adds to the taste)
2-3 tsps Sugar
3-4 cups milk
3-4 tbsps oil
Method:
1. Steam the grated corn in microwave for 5 minutes. ( If you do not have a microwave than keep the grated corn in the box and steam it in idli cooker, or normal pressure cooker but with out whistle. You can even steam the corn in a pan by putting water in pan and than placing the grated corn box in the pan, cover the pan and lit the burner to steam it).
2. Now cool the steamed corns and than grind it in a mixer. In case of frozen corn, just steam it well as it has already been ground
3. Heat the pan, add oil and heat it. Splutter mustered seeds, and then add Asafoetida, green chillies and pinch of red chilli powder. Add grinded corns to this and mix well
4. Now add salt and sugar to this. Cover it with a lid and cook for 5 min
5. Remove the lid and sprinkle milk over it and mix well. Cover and cook for 5 mins stirring occassionaly
6. garnish with chopped coriander and serve hot
