Baked spinach macaroni

Ingredients:
200 gms macaroni or pasta
3 medium bunches spinach, washed and coarsely chopped
3 cubes Amul cheese
1 200ml pack tomato puree
Salt and pepper to taste
1tbsp dried basil
3tbsp butter

Method:
Cook the macaroni or pasta al dente and set aside.
In a pan, heat half the butter and when it melts, add the tomato puree. Cook for a minute, then add the spinach, basil, salt and pepper. Cook covered till spinach wilts. Add the macaroni and mix well.
Crumble the bread and add the rest of the butter to it and mix well. Grate the cheese.
Grease a casserole and pour in the macaroni. Layer the bread on top and finally sprinkle the grated cheese.
Pre-heat oven to 250°C and bake the macaroni for about 30-35 minutes till the bread turns nice and crisp.
Serve hot with sour cream or tomato sauce and cold orange juice or a glass of champagne.
